Self harming or suicidal call contact youth on 0808 808 8000The Suicide Prevention Project provides counselling for young people aged 11-25 years who are impacted by suicide and/or self-harm. This can be through concerns about your own self-harm and/or suicidal thoughts/behaviour or the impact of a death through suicide.

Counselling can give you the opportunity to talk confidentially about your life and receive support.  Although self-harm or suicide may be part of the picture we also discuss other areas of your life and how it all fits together.  You won’t be told what to do and you’ll be supported to make your own decisions and to use the service in a way that benefits you.

For more information on suicide visit http://www.nosp.ie/ and check out the link called ‘concerned about suicide’ which offers key facts about suicide and self-harm, how to respond and further contacts.

This project will become part of Lifeline from 1st April 2009.
